A Mild Case of Sluggy

I’ve been sick for what feels like a century. I thought I was out of the woods yesterday but I was greeted with another sore throat this morning. What gives? What kind of Wheaties do the bacteria eat out here? In any event, there are many far worse off than me so I will now stop my griping. I feel as slimy as the dude in this post – a critter from the upcoming Ratchet game. October 27th folks!
In other news, I’ll be migrating to Windows 7 64-bit next week. Woohoo! RAM! Solid state hard drive! Anyone else taking the plunge?

Ewwwww! I think one of these lil bastards was got me a few weeks ago! Had the worse flu ever! Very creative Dave! Im diggin’em!
We are going to be all over that R&C!! My son and I were pretty hard-core about the last one. Can’t wait!

Dave,
Hope you will feel better.
I guess it never really fully occurred to me that you work on a PC. I am a ‘Mac’ so I cannot tell you anything about taking the plunge into Windows.
Great images aboard here as usual!
i bought nose plugs for oct. 22nd… from the sound of things, you won’t need any
oh, and get better… of course
Ewwwwwwwww, the little boogers got ya……;(
Nice to see some new work, I’m having withdrawls. I will take the 7 plunge shortly but not the 64 bit one. I seriously need more ram! Great work as usual. Hope you feel better soon.
Awesome, I love this little guy!
I’m also moving onto Windows 7. I preordered it when they were offering it for $50 past July (or was it June?). Can’t wait.
Thanks guys…Yeah, I’m on a PC. I’ve looked into Macs all along the way and really like the marriage of hardware and software (I can’t get enough of the iphone). But for higher end 3d and custom computer rigs, it’s gets pretty sketchy. Now that Windows finally has a solid 64bit system I’ll be happy to stay on the PC side of the fence. I managed to grab a new Intel SSD before the prices went all wacky and the performance has been great. Coupled with 12 gigs of ram I’m looking forward to working on larger files with greater ease. The tests I’ve done with Windows RC were pretty impressive. I’ll be posting my journey on the blog – we can all compare notes. C’mon Amazon, ship me my disc!
I’m curious whether you get the same nasty line jitter I do under win 7 rc. Luckily, the release notes for sbp 2010 clued me in to the Tablet PC Input Service issue. Wacom tells me Microsoft is on the case. I hope that’s true!
