BadDay

The Guardener
Dave and I are hard at work prepping for Heroes Con this year. We’ve been under the gun with some heavy deadlines all year, and we finally get to push towards a deadline for ourselves. Tonight I got to sketch for no reason a bit, I knew I wanted to draw a robot (duh)…but then every night when I’m working in the pitch black huddled over the Cintiq, my cat sits and watches me releasing these little curious meows that I only hear when the music in my headphones quiets for a second. Scares the crap out of me every time. That and I watched a documentary on trash pickers in Brazil tonight…I have very very little to complain about anymore. So here ya go…

I’m looking forward to meeting you two again and picking your brain at this year’s HeroesCon! Will the next CreatureBox book be available by then?

Excellent drawing (as always). Interesting comment about the trash pickers in Brazil. I met a couple guys in Brazil who would gather cardboard when I was down there many years ago. It was astonishing to see how much cardboard they managed to pile into their hand carts, and then pull around the city all alone. Like you said, rough rough life makes you appreciate how good we have it. On the upside, they were really fit! Looking forward to seeing more awesome art

Love the piece. I think I tried watching that same documentary but found it impossible to get any work done since nearly the whole movie was subtitled. How’d you do it?
