funny scary lovely character! do you use Soft tool to put shadows in SketchbookPro?
thanks and have a creative day!

I love the style. I have been trying out Sketchbook Pro after finding your site.
Do you do all the art in this application? I love it for sketching with the pencil tool but when I try to ink over my sketch with the paintbrush tool, I can’t get a good line to save my life! It always comes out shaky and wobbly. I am using a tablet PC for the first time. Does it ever feel more natural?
Anyway, I”m a big fan of Insomniac and now a big fan of this site. Keep it coming!

    Thanks guys,
flaviano: I tend to save painting for Photoshop, but all the drawing happens in Sketchbook.

Noah: For inking brushes in Sketchbook, you may want to start with a custom brush based on the pencil. In the settings, adjust the “size with heavy and size with light pen pressure” settings to get the thick to thin you’re after. Finally, bring the stamp spacing to around 0.7 and you’ll have a pretty inky brush. In regards to the wobbly line, be sure there is no interference from other sources (CRT monitors, electrical signals, etc.) along with upgrading to the latest drivers. It does take some getting used to, but after a while, working digitally will feel pretty natural.

    Happy drawing,
    d.

Just new awesomeness everyday. I love this blog. Dave and Greg, you guys pump out amazing stuff. One of these days I’m gonna have to model up a fan piece in 3D.
