Captain Darkwater
Well, this month has been one crazy adventure. My wife and I have spent the majority of the last few weeks moving into our new home in NC. After 4 months of camping at my gracious in-laws, we’ve finally found our way to our new suburbian domain. I’m thinking of building a small city from all the boxes.

Greg and I are finally starting to get settled and ready to roll on the box once again. Hope everyone has a groovy Dick Clark-ish new years – keep it safe homies!

*Update*
We just added a CreatureBox Facebook fan page so if you’re a Facebooker, and like what we do, share it with your Facebook peeps!

Gorgeous, as usual! Extra bonus points for successfully combining pirates and robots together in one swell character! Glad to hear you’re getting settled here in NC. Hopefully the weather won’t be too disagreeable to you this year. Can’t wait for things to get rolling full-steam ahead again!

Gotta agree with Pop-Monkey on the combination of pirates and robots. Absolutely wicked presentation as well! The parchment just adds that extra *umph* to the character design. Does this city come complete with hotdog stands and a Starbucks on every corner? You’ll need a flag as well. Can’t build a country or city without a flag or the Brits will envade!

Excellent Designs on this site! I love your linedraw style Dave! And I have a little questions for you and Greg:
Did you work on Spyro the Dragon for Playstation one? Because I remember it was an Insomniac Game, and I loved it really much (I was 12 years old when I played the game).
Did you work on other games than Ratchet and Clank?
Did you work on animated films before videogames?
    Thanks for answering!
PS: sorry for my nasty english…^^

  6. Another awesome design! I have been trolling this blog for a while and I am blown away by the stuff you guys post!

Thanks guys! On Q4B, Greg and I certainly had our fill of robots, pirates, and everything in between.

Javier: We’ll probably add some sketches here and there for more process peeks…keep your eyes pealed…

Jarrod: Really glad you like the book! The next step is to go flaunt it in front of your friends.

Josh: I like hotdogs so plan on seeing some hotdog stands. When I was saving for my first house, I ate hotdogs and pb&j sandwiches everyday for lunch for a year and a half. I think I was able to get the cost down to 38 cents per lunch! As far as the flag, you know I’ll be flying the ‘box.

Sebhary: I started as Insomniac wrapped up the 3rd Spyro title. I wasn’t part of the project – everything from then on out for Greg and I was Ratchet and Clank. As far as other games, we’ve worked on other projects earlier in our careers and contributed to the Resistance franchise as well. For the most part though, for games we tend to call Ratchet “home”.

    Dustin:
Welcome aboard and troll away! We appreciate the kind props!
