After a long night, I still could not get my pic done for the site. So as a consolation prize, I present to you the Quick Sketch, in intervals. I like monkeys. I’ve said too much.

A great inspirational blog/website. It really does give more stylized work the credit it deserves when otherwise it’s fobbed off as merely for kids. One question though, what do you use for your linework, its it done manually then scanned or with painter/Pshop? I cant get that kinda fluidity in mine when I use Photoshop and an intuous. Please tell :)

Whether it be finished work or a quick sketch, this monkey still rocks! Made me grab a pencil and started sketching!

Geez, super glad you guys are into the quick stuff too! And if I’m getting you guys off to the drawing boards, I couldn’t be more pleased.
And for those of you on the digital side(Jason), we were having the same issues with our software until we came across Sketchbook. We talk about it a lot here, but we use it for most all of our linework because it is so fluid and responsive. And the best part, it’s completely reasonably priced. A true digital artist’s friend.

    Monkeys indeed!

Hey Greg, love the quick sketch monkey!! I was wondering if you’d be interested in doing your own version of Frankenstien’s monster (bust) and allowing me to do it as a sculpt. I’ve got so much going on outside of my studio right now that I would really love to have an excuse to go in there and sculpt something fun. I’ve always loved your drawings since college to now and I’d be honored if you’d let me sculpt one.

Take care, give my love to the wife,

    Alfred
