Egads! Environments! Yeah, every once in awhile Greg and I journey to the other side of the fence. When starting levels, creating small mood pieces can help work out potential palette, lighting, and mood issues before production begins. These are the times when you wish for at least a couple more colors in the rainbow to provide more separation between planets. The images above were to explore the various segments in Q4B’s Viper Caves.
Onward!

a video process of this would be really really appreciated…… Color scheme is amazing! Just curious, how long did each frame take to finish? Also, what DPI do you create you files skpro and photoshop? Thanks for the inspiration!
Mmm, so good to see.
Those are really great my friend!! Nice colours and atmosphere!! Super work!
wow!
that is so amazing.its really awesome to see the concept art for my favorite game franchise. you guys are awesome.
This is absolutely beautiful. Truly inspiring.
Gents you guys do incredible work. Raising the bar!
I LOVE YOUR PICTURES.
Great as usual….but I was sitting here reading all the deserving compliments when I realized, how can we get even more out of the monster ( pun intended ) that is “creaturebox.com?”
Sure, you have already fed us on the bounty of talent that you both have through your patient answering of every question I ever asked. Given us access to outstanding videos and books that show us “How-Dey-Doo-dat”.
But, is that enough? smile. Should both you and your visitors settle for just lying around ( us not you guys ) waiting until another post so we can remind you guys how good and talented you both are?
Or, do we get tough! Do we stir the pot and envoke the old “Give ‘em an inch and they’ll want a yard” motto?
I say, show me a monster that is not mad and I’ll show you that he is no longer a monster at all!
I say we keep pushin’ and prodin’ and demanding more and more from you guys…until. ( sigh )
Just kidding!
I’m a bit of a nut like that and hope you all took it as me just havin’ some fun.
This is my number one blog site and the main reason I’m still trying to learn the computer.

*Keep Up The Great Work
Ouf, that hurts…IMPRESSIVE….
The three of them , of course, but the one in the middle is a genius choice of color , lighting and composition. I´m not sure for what kind of game is this, but it deserves to be more than a great “concept art”.
I´m on my knees.
Hey guys,
Thanks so much for the really kind words!
Javier: A video would be pretty tricky but I’ll keep that in mind. Each image is about 1600 pixels wide and took about 4 hours to finish. Sketchbook was used for a quick rough but the rest was painted in Photoshop.
Rawls: Thanks and best of luck on Agent Orange–really great shapes and vibe going on there!
Aaron: Always cool to hear from Ratchet fans–if you keep playing em’ we’ll keep makin’ em’.
Bernard: Yes, you are a nut but we’ll try to keep drawing.
Enrique: Geez man, I don’t know what to say. Your work is a force of nature! You know how much of a fan I am and wish you the best with your newest project. The pages are looking stunning, as always!
Oh man im loving up all the perspective angles and choice of colors in this. It really draws you in. Amazing job guysss keep it up!
