I reused the moon from Metal Man and came up with this. Just messing around.

Whooooo! I like this one a lot! The baby did it for me though, he’s the winner! Maybe could have added a few flying in the background passing the moon? Either way, this one is my favorite so far… thanks guys

Thanks guys. I think this came out of hanging out with my boy this weekend, me thinking of myself as old and wise and him just staring at me in disbelief that I am his source of paternal knowledge. Poor kid, never had a chance.
I love the shiny effect you got going on the eyes and the texture is awesome (especially on the wing) The shapes are really cool too. Great piece! Question: is this one all done in sketchbook or is the coloring done in photoshop?
I did all the painting of the owls in Sketchbook, but the background was in PS. It was a lot easier to get the graphic look that way, I also added a subtle color layer to unify the colors a bit and the outer glow of the owls to get them to pop. Skethcbook saves out PSDs now, so it’s nice to go back and forth if you need to.
