Somethin’s Fishy!

My daughter and I were picking up Thai food the other night and she got all interested in the fish tank. The fish they had were nutty looking. She started asking me what each one was called, because I should know? So I made a bunch of stuff up, she didn’t believe me at all, but I thought I was pretty clever, ha! So these are what my ideas of some fishy-head-guys would look like!

Safe Landings

Hey everybody,

After four and a half days of driving, we arrived safely in North Carolina. The trip was surprisingly relaxing even as we carted the cats through 4 different hotels. Aside from some torrential downpours in Texas and a car fire in Tennessee, the drive was pretty tame. My gracious in-laws have taken us in until we can find a home and even allowed me to set up a make shift studio. I’m looking forward to drawing more during my time off. Here’s to new adventures!

Uncharted Path!

Yup, we’re gettin’ out of Dodge! Well, LA anyway. California has been great (13 years!! Almost half my life!), but I long for my kids to run in the woods and play as kids should.
CreatureBox will be in full force! If not even more, um, in full force? Anyway, Dave and I are looking forward to getting more serious with the ‘Box and getting more books, etc out there. We’ll still be at Comicon next year and hopefully many more years. So if you like the Cali-connection, fear not, we do too!

Journeymen

Hey everybody,

For those familiar with Insomniac Games, you may of heard of the new North Carolina sister studio on the way in January ’09. Well, I’m pleased to announce Greg and I will be part of the initial crew for the new team. This is an exciting opportunity for the both of us and we couldn’t be happier to be back East all while staying part of the amazing Insomniac family.

As a result, my wife and our two manic cats will be traveling across county next week. Our pilgrimage has been in the planning for quite some time and we’re looking forward to the journey. (I don’t know if I can say the same for our feline counterparts.) Greg will be on his way in the coming months once he wraps up a few odds and ends. As far as the website, we still plan to be very active with imagery and chatter so please be sure to stop by and visit. In regards to the store, effective immediately North Carolina residents will have sales tax applied to their order. All the California kids are now off the hook!

As always, Greg and I really appreciate the support from you all…we look forward to seeing you on the other side of the country as we polish our southern drawl.

Warmin’ Back Up!

Well, we’re back. But it has been a whirl wind ride coming out of Comic-Con and its taking us some time to get back in the groove. Here’s a warm up. Its nice to hit the Cintiq again. I saw a pic Dave was working on with some furry critters and I had to give it a go. Thanks Dave!
